Opening of the EVINOR IAE Diagnostic Center
On Saturday 11/10/2014, the Inauguration of the EVINOR IAE Diagnostic Center took place in Giannouzi, Agrinio. A state-of-the-art EVINOR Diagnostic Laboratory that provides the citizens of the prefecture of Aitoloakarnania and neighboring prefectures with the opportunity to receive high-quality primary health care services.
The ceremony was performed by the Metropolitan of Aetolia & Acarnania, His Eminence Mr. Kosmas.
A vision and dream of the late doctor Andreas Karagounis has come true, for the place to finally acquire the self-evident.
That is, new, high technology and a wide range of specialized imaging and laboratory tests, which were only performed in a few centers in Athens until today, since it is the only, fully digital center, which means that it has the newest machines, for accurate imaging, with the lowest radiation.
Our goal is to provide reliable results in the shortest possible time, so that it becomes an excellent tool in the hands of the clinician.
More than 3,000 citizens and the medical community of the prefecture of Etoloakarnania attended the Opening of the EVINOR IAE Diagnostic Center and honored us with their presence, while brief greetings were delivered by the Mayor of Agrinio, Mr. Georgios Papanastasiou, the President of the Etoloakarnania Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Panagiotis Tsichritzis, the Professor of Surgery - Director of the 1st Pre-University Surgical Clinic of the University of Athens and Deputy Dean of the Athens Medical School, Mr. Georgios Zografos (who also inaugurated the project), as well as the President of EVINOR, an economist specializing in Health Economics, Mr. Marios Karagounis.
The ceremony (Opening of the EVINOR IAE Diagnostic Center) was honored with the presence of the former President of the Rectors of Greece and former Rector of Panteion University of Athens, Professor of Constitutional Law, Mr. Panagiotis Tsiris, the Emeritus Professor of Pathology - Infectious Diseases of the University of Athens, Mr. Theodoros Kordosis, the gynecologist, Doctor of the University of Athens and CEO of the REA Maternity Hospital, Mr. Vryonis Kosmas, the Director of the Cardiology Clinic of METROPOLITAN and Associate Professor of the University of Athens, Mr. Rokas Stylianos, the Director of the Radiology Department of ALEXANDRA Hospital and Director of Medical Service, Mr. Athanasios Chalazonitis, the Director of Vascular Surgery and Doctor of the University Athens of the ELPIS Hospital Mr. Fasoulakis Myronas, and the former Director of ENT Mr. Konstantopoulos Dimitrios.
Also present were the former Deputy Governor of Western Greece, doctor Mr. Antonopoulos Vassilios, the former Mayor and MP of Lefkada Mr. Margelis Spyridon, the Mayor of Aktion-Vonitsa Mr. Apostolakis Georgios, the Mayor of Xiromero Mr. Galounis Erotokritos, the CEO of ATTIKIS Bank Mr. Manalis Gikas and the former captain of the National Football Team Mr. Stelios Manolas.
The Panetolikos team (at that time playing in Corfu) was represented by CEO Gerasimos Belevonis, Board members George Kostakopoulos and Thomas Spyrou, as well as the U20 team with coach Yiannis Dalakouras.
According to the professor of surgery, Mr. Zografos, the EVINOR diagnostic laboratory, combining high technology with excellent scientific training, is among the few diagnostic laboratories in Greece that provide such high-quality health services.
The mayor of Agrinio emphasized that a “gem of science” was inaugurated for the city of Agrinio and made special reference to the realization of a vision of Andreas Karagounis, while the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Aetola referred to the need to create other such important steps of progress for our prefecture.
The president of EVINOR, Mr. Marios Karagounis, stated that: “Today is a very important day for the citizens of Aitoloakarnania, because they now have the option to carry out in their own country any diagnostic examination for which they had to resort to the larger urban centers until now. EVINOR invested in the health sector, creating a newly built building, with the best and most modern machines in Europe. It has a Diagnostic Laboratory, one of the few in all of Greece, perhaps the only one, fully digital, for accurate imaging, with the lowest radiation. Contracted with all insurance funds, EVINOR provides European-level services throughout Western Greece."
Inauguration of the Chronic Hemodialysis Unit EVINOR IAE
On the afternoon of December 9, 2017, the inauguration of the Chronic Hemodialysis Unit operating at the EVINOR Medical Diagnostic Center took place. This is the most modern Artificial Kidney Unit in Western Greece, where in a space of 300 sq.m., there are:
1. Capacity of 22 patients/shift with the ability to maintain 22 FRESENIUS MEDICAL CARE 5008S ONLINE machines. 2. Electric dialysis beds and chairs.
3. State-of-the-art water treatment system.
4. Generator that ensures the smooth operation of the unit in the event of a power outage.
5. Advanced air conditioning system, individual televisions and internet stations.
